Our group tours, available on Tuesdays and Thursdays in English, are designed for all levels of wine enthusiasts, including families with children. Led by Emily Blandy, a seventh-generation family member and head of Rural Wine Tourism, these tours offer an authentic insight into the world of Madeira wine. For a more exclusive experience, private tours are also available.

DISCOVER A NEW GENERATION OF MADEIRA WINE
A guided walk through the vineyard terraces of Quinta de Santa Luzia, an old family quinta; sharing in its history, the Madeira wine varietals and the vineyard characteristics. Our setting for the tasting is the terrace of a quinta house where we explore Madeira’s four historic white grape varieties with the new Blandy’s Madeira 10YO range, a perfect blend of two centuries of tradition and innovation.

UNDERSTANDING THE AGEING PROCESS OF MADEIRA WINE
A guided walk through the vineyard terraces of Quinta de Santa Luzia, sharing in its history, the vineyard characteristics and key grape varietals, our viticulture practices, and an overview of Madeiran viticulture. This is followed by a six-wine vertical tasting, on the terrace of a quinta house, of the classic Blandy’s Verdelho and Bual Madeira wines – the key grape varieties grown at Quinta de Santa Luzia.
